Thunder Treats was born on December 18, 2008.  Since then we have seen enormous growth each year.  When we started, our main focus was to have fun with the music, entertainment and sports industries.  If you have been to the site before then you know we have not strayed from our roots.  If this is your first time, have a look around, you’ll see what we are talking about.  Our area of “expertise” is humor, women, sports, music, entertainment and awesomeness.  I’m going to go out on a limb and assume you can associate with one of those categories!  Thunder Treats was created by DiLo and Mike Z. but has been fully maintained and updated by DiLo since day one, though Mike will tell you he owns 15%.

As of January 2013, we have started our very own Thunder Treats Podcast.  The show is anywhere from 30-60 minutes long and is hosted by DiLo and frequent contributors DiNunz and Lydell.  No topic is off limits but I’m not going to bullshit you, it’s mainly about sports.  You can find the entire podcast archive by clicking on “Podcast” at the top of this page or you can get it on your Apple device from iTunes.  Enjoy!

Why Thunder Treats?

A lot of people may be wondering how we came up with the name Thunder Treats. We know it’s an odd name, but we never get tired of telling the story. DiLo’s sister and his friend Mike both, for longer than either of them care to admit, believed the lyrics to a famous AC/DC song were as follows:

“Dirty deeds and thunder treats”

Instead of (in case anyone is scratching their heads wondering what is wrong with the above):

“Dirty deeds, done dirt cheap”

When we first thought up the idea for a website, DiLo had heard that song that day and was telling the story to friends.  Later that night when it came time to name the site, we couldn’t get the thought of “Thunder Treats” out of our heads.  Awesome, right?

If you have any questions about myself, the site, advertising, partnerships or just want to tell me how bad I suck at writing, please don’t hesitate to send me some hate mail at info[at]thundertreats[dot]com.  I look forward to hearing from you guys!

Cheers!
