Band ‘The Playdates’ Turns a Letter from a Fallen Soldier into a Song

First, I want to take this opportunity to thank all past and present veterans and those serving our country right now.  Without you brave souls, we wouldn’t have the freedoms we have been given.  Thank you for your service, you are braver than most and especially myself.

One of the most horrifying things that can happen to a military family is losing a loved one in battle.  Often, soldiers will write letters to their loved ones in case this happens.  It is a way for them to bring closure to their family after they’re gone.  In this case, a band was moved when they read a letter from a fallen soldier that he wrote to his wife and daughter before he died.  Although the band, The Playdates, doesn’t give much information as to who the soldier was or who his family was in their description of their moving adaptation of the fallen soldiers letter, the song still pulls at the heart strings for anyone that has lost someone.

From their description via their YouTube Channel:

This song was written after reading a letter from a 101st Soldier who was killed in Afghanistan. It was written to his wife and found on his laptop which was sent back to her after he died. I am not sure who or where these people were from but the wife’s named was Emma and his daughters name was Kiley. It would be nice if they could hear this song on Remembrance day. Please share this video and with any luck this song will make its way to them.

Please watch the video below and share it as best you can with friends and family.  Hopefully his family will be able to hear this.
