diddy-vote-or-die

After 2 round of voting we are down to one sugar filled 16.  There were a lot of upsets in the West region, 5 to be exact.  The biggest upset might have been the 10 seed Reese's Puffs who pulled out a close victory over the 7th seeded Kix.  As usual in a tournament such as this, you will get at least one 12 seed over a 5 seed and this year was no exception.  Peanut Butter Crunch came blazing out of the gates and dessimated the ill fated Alpha Bits without breaking a sweat.  Fruity Pebbles also made an impressive showing and I expect a lot of people to be jumping on the Fruity Pebbles bandwagon soon.  It feels like Fruity Pebbles could be the George Mason of this tournament but you never know what is going to happen.  Below are the results from the first round of the West Region as well as an updated bracket.  The new polls are up to the left of the page.  Vote early and vote often!  Monday afternoon we will tally the votes and present the final 8 cereals.

Fruit Loops 81.8% over Total 18.2%

Lucky Charms 85.2% over Bran Flakes 15.8%

Cocoa Puffs 31.6% defeated by Apple Jacks 68.4%

Honey Smacks 64.7% over Honey Bunches of Oats 35.3%

Alpha Bits 30.8% defeated by Peanut Butter Crunch 69.2%

Cocoa Krispies 35.3% defeated by Fruity Pebbles 64.7%

Kix 42.9% defeated by Reese's Puffs 51.7%

Rice Krispies 43.8% defeated by Life 56.3%

Cinnamon Toast Crunch hands down! I have no idea how any of the other cereals will come close.
