Falcons vs. 49ers

49tickets
This past weekend, I traveled down to the dirty souf to attend the Falcons/49ers game.  The experience was definitely something I will not soon forget.  I traveled with a friend who’s mother works for Denise York, co-owner of the San Francisco 49ers.  For this reason my airfare, hotel and ticket were free.  Pretty fantastic already right?  We stayed in the players hotel just outside of the Atlanta in Buckhead.  Which if you ever get a chance to go, make sure to stop by the Buffalo Wild Wings and tell Alexis I said what’s up.

After taking Buckhead for all it was worth all weekend, Sunday came and it was game time.  We left the hotel on our charter bus around 11 a.m. and arrived at the players parking lot under the Georgia Dome at roughly 11:30 a.m.  From there we entered the stadium and came down the corridor where the locker rooms are and the press conferences are held.  After passing the 49ers locker room, we turned left and came out of the tunnel and onto the field.  We spent about an hour or so on the field, right there in front of all the players while they were warming up.  After hanging out on the field we headed to our seats which were 7th row, 50 yard line.  The price tag on the ticket was $180.  The Niners Alex Smith played pretty horribly and ended up losing on a last second field goal because Nate Clements can’t hold onto the ball.  After the game we headed back down onto the field to retrace our steps back to the bus.  Since it took us a little while to get down there we ended up getting to the locker room area right as Mike Singletary was coming out for the presser.  We stayed and watched and listened to what he had to say.  After coach was done, they announced Alex Smith would be out soon.  We decided to stick around to see if anyone would actually ask him why he sucked at football so much.  Unfortunately we were disappointed.  We ducked out of the presser before Smith finished and headed back through the players parking lot.  All in all it was an awesome weekend and definitely one of the coolest experiences I have ever had.  Enjoy the pics…
