The Kid

For those of you who have ridden the Thunder Train for nearly its whole ride then you may remember NHL 93, one of my first posts for TT. When I presented NHL 93 to the world I caught plenty of heat from Super Nintendo players. Although a Sega Genesis owner I am in no way bias to either game console because SNES blessed us with titles such as Super Mario Kart, Super Mario World, and my all-time favorite, Ken Griffey Jr. presents Major League Baseball.

This baseball game allows you to play with real teams in real stadiums but the rosters are bogus. Hitting a big fly over Camden Yards warehouse in right field was always a good way to instigate some chatter. The only actual real player in the game is of course, Ken Griffey Jr. Duh! Facing Griffey was a nightmare for all oppositions. When you were able to keep “The Kid” inside the park you had to worry about him swiping second and third baseball on you. Can you say automatic
Ken Griffey Jr. for Super Nintendo revolutionized baseball games forever. This game provides collisions at home plate and the ability to break up double plays. You can see the classic “Bo Breaker” after a strike out and the famous “Oh C’mon” after being rung up looking at strike three. The game also features a legendary Home Run Derby where Ken Griffey Jr. and Nick NoHeart are usually hitting unrealistic 575-foot home runs.

You can bet your bottom dollar that I will be providing a new insightful review of another video game masterpiece in the near future. The game review will not be for either Sega Genesis or Super Nintendo so any recommendations are always helpful and welcome.
