Man Who Yelled ‘F–k The Alligators’ Jumps In The Water And Is Quickly Killed By Alligators

The Fourth of July weekend gave a lot of people a lot of time to try and out-do the stupidity and white-trashiness of Ohio and Florida. I live in Ohio and I am keenly aware of the stupid shit that goes on here. That’s why it’s always refreshing to see that other states have the same probz we do.

Texas, for example, has made a push for a Darwin Award after Tommie Woodward went for a night swim against verbal warnings and posted signs that read “No Swimming Alligators.” The sign was posted this week after a 10-foot gator was spotted in the bayou where Woodward took a dip.

Orange County Justice of the Peace Rodney Price explained what happened after Woodward decided to ignore the posted warnings.

“He removed his shirt, removed his billfold … someone shouted a warning and he said ‘blank the alligators’ and jumped in to the water and almost immediately yelled for help.”

Michelle Wright, an employee at the marina and friend of the victim’s family, pleaded with others to obey the posted warnings and stay out of the water.

“Please do not go swimming, there’s a bigger alligator out here. Just please stay out of the water.”

She continued to tell her story to local CBS affiliate KFDM.

“I saw his body floating face down. And then he’s out there for a couple of seconds and then he’s dragged back down. And then he comes back up still face down and then he gets pulled down again. And then he just disappears.”

The woman Woodward was with was unharmed. Tommie Woodward was 28-years-old.
