There are a lot of articles out this morning talking about what the best and worst parts of the Golden Globes were. Most sites will tell you that the opening monologue from Tina Fey and Amy Poehler was the best, and they would be a true statement. Those two do great things together. In fact, here is a good run down of the 20 best moments of the Golden Globes.
However, most of the articles about the Golden Globes fail to mention the speech Dan Goor, co-creator of Brooklyn Nine-Nine, gave after the show won Best TV Comedy Series. Clearly, even the cast and crew from Brooklyn Nine-Nine was just as shocked as everyone else that they won. I watch the show, I think it’s hilarious but everyone knows I watch every sitcom out there, even if they are terrible. So really, I’m a terrible judge when it comes to that sort of thing. But I digress.
So maybe Dan Goor didn’t have anything prepared and was just going to wing it. I thought it was light and funny, but some tight wads think he was out of line. Watch below.

I think my favorite line was about his wife and two kids, “even the two-and-a-half year old, who is a nightmare”. I rewound it and watched it again. Of course the last line about winning the award was way better than saving a human life had some people in an uproar. Perhaps he should have added “hashtag sarcasm”.
