Crying Villanova Piccolo Player Makes Tonight Show Debut

Because it’s 2015 and the internet is driving in top gear, this has become…a thing.

I knew it the moment I saw it. As soon as I saw Roxanne Chalifoux playing her piccolo in the Villanova band, crying her eyes out after N.C. State had stomped on their collective hearts, I knew she was going to catch fire on Twitter.

And so it started. First there were just Tweets with her screen shot attached. Then came Vine videos with Bob Marley’s “No Woman, No Cry” dubbed over it. Then there was the video of the isolated audio from her piccolo.

The internet did what the internet does. It made a celebrity in a matter of minutes.

So, now that senior biology student Roxanne Chalifoux is a celebrity, it only made sense that she was on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, right?

Of course.

And she got to play with The Roots! Plus she also got another special gift from Jimmy.

The power of the internet, folks.
