Five Tips to Improve Your Chance of Dating

Ah, dating. Truly an insurmountable challenge. While it is difficult for everyone, some people seem to be disturbingly good at the entire process, while others seem to flounder no matter what they do. There are huge numbers of self-help books and columns which exist to help people who are unlucky in love, and this article is no different, with five tips for anybody who needs to change up their approach, and hopefully become more lucky in love.

Switch it up.

If you are stuck in a rut, don’t keep doing what you’ve been doing over and over and over – make a change! It doesn’t need to be anything big, but change something about how you approach dating and romance, to see if that changes your chances. It could be anything from changing the way you dress, to changing where you drink – you never know what might blow the cobwebs away from your dating strategy and give you new light and life.

Be self-confident

Be confident! When it comes to the question of how to get a date, confidence is definitely up there. You need to be careful not to let it shade over into cockiness, but confidence is good. Confidence shows that you have a good opinion of yourself, and that you think you are worth something in the grand scheme of things. Confidence can be very attractive, because it gives you an aura which can draw people to you, and at the very least make them notice you. Be confident, as that will show people that you are interesting, and will cause them to pay attention to you.

Make it More Likely

This is particularly difficult for introverts, but it is honestly difficult for anybody; if you want to make it more likely that you will find a date, you need to go outside. Staying indoors where it is comfy and warm and familiar is something which is easy to do, but it won’t get you a date!  You don’t need to go out drinking to find a date, though this does still work; just do something which gets you outside, such as picking up a new hobby, or even getting involved in offline communities surrounding your existing hobbies. Start going to the library, take up running – do something to take you out of your normal routine, and into a place or places where you will meet new and interesting people.

Take a Gamble

Take a chance when you are out! Strike up a conversation, sit down next to that interesting looking group. You never know what people you might meet, and it is a better way of meeting someone than simply sitting and waiting for people to approach you.

Know What you Want

Rather than leaving everything up to chance, make sure that you know what you want when it comes to dating. Don’t go overboard with your list, but have a basic idea of what you want a partner to be like, and how he or she will fit into your life.
