Follow Up Series to Popular ‘Boy Meets World’ Sitcom in Early Development

You read that right, baby!

The show that we grew up watching on ABC, and the reruns thereafter on The Disney Channel, is possibly getting a new follow up.  The new series would be based around the daughter of Cory and Topanga, who were married and living together when we last saw them.

Ben Savage (Cory), Danielle Fisher (Topanga) and Rider Strong (Sean) were the main members of the original cast that we followed for more than 150 episodes from 1993-2000.  It hasn’t been confirmed, nor denied, that any of these three will appear in the new series.

This is obviously exciting news because, let’s be honest, there are few things better than a smack in the face with nostalgia.  However, if they can’t get the original Cory or Topanga on the show, I think they lose the hype.  If they don’t get Sean back, oh well.  He looks far too creepy now a days to be on The Disney Channel anyways.  Without Savage and Fisher, it is just some sitcom with a played out angle but with them, it is a continuation of something that a lot of people grew up with.  It would be like revisiting Growing Pains where all the kids have their own families and they drive Grandma and Grandpa Seaver nuts.

Wait a minute…
