#Fest Set To Turn Ohio University On Its Head This Weekend

By  |

Fest Season is running high at Ohio University and there is no other way to welcome the warm spring air than their annual Number Fest.

What started in 2003 as “OneFest” with Ordinary Peoples and Red Wanting Blue headlining is now about to launch it’s 14th edition and feature the likes of Fetty Wap, The Chainsmokers, Lil Dicky, Big Gigantic, NGHTMRE and Niykee Heaton. You can check the full line up here.

Along with the headliners, there are other acts that you should most definitely take a look at if you can pull yourself away from the tailgate lot.

Chicago duo Milk N Cooks are brothers Paul and James MacElwain that have gone a bit under the radar. Their latest release Matta Fact is a jam that will get your ass moving. It’s a good warm up for anyone who may be afraid of pulling a hammy once they go full-on rage.

Another act to check out would be Ohio State University graduate Cal Scruby. Google a picture of him. Go ahead, I’ll wait.

Does it look like he spits fire as a rapper? No. But does he? Hell yes.

Scruby moved out to L.A. after graduating from OSU (mom’s gotta be proud) in 2014 and released his first album House in the Hills in September 2015. Check out Ain’t Shit Changed (feat. Chris Brown) and you’ll see what I’m saying about Cal Scruby within the first few bars. Check out Wasted as well.

Another artist that should be on your must-see list is Pierce Fulton. Fulton gives off a Kygo/Kaskade/Tiesto feel. Big names, I know. But give him a chance. The Vermont-born Fulton learned play numerous instruments while growing up and you can definitely hear that influence in his music. Fulton has played the likes of TomorrowWorld and Electric Zoo and will be supporting Martin Garrix this summer in Las Vegas. Do yourself a favor and check him out at #Fest.

70+ degrees and sunny this weekend in Athens. See. You. There.
