The most successful girl group in music history has turned to Kickstarter for help with what they are calling their final album.
The now duo — R.I.P. Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes — took to the crowdfunding giant to help them raise the $150,000 they claim they need to put out their final album, independent from a music label.
Every penny we raise during this campaign will go towards MAKING this final album together with you! The initial goal of $150,000 will go towards a writing session in the studio with a producer and engineer. The money beyond that will go to booking music producers, writing sessions, mixing sessions, recording sessions, and SO much more.
There are plenty of levels to donate and, like every other campaign, the more you give the more you receive. However, the TLC rewards get very personal.
For instance, a $1,000 pledge will get you a movie date with Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas.
WUT.
For those of you who have the creepy/stalker bone in your body, you can back the Brinks truck up and drop TLC a cool $5,000 to watch Chilli sleep at a slumber party.
Other pledges will get vinyl copies of the album, digital copies, autographs, voicemails and if you want Chilli to see you vomit, you can pledge $2,000 and get to workout with her.
The most expensive backer option is $7,500 where you will get to be in a personalized photoshoot with TLC.
