Walk-up music in Major League Baseball is a kind of a big deal. A lot of athletes take time and thought when picking out the music they will walk to the plate to. Mark Reynolds is no exception. While the task may be one of the hardest things Reynolds had to do, it became a lot easier when Triple A prospect Trevor Bauer released a rap song called “Gutter to the Grail”.
A sweep that most Detroit fans will point out was 1.) Against the Mariners and 2.) Took three walk offs to complete.
Matthew Perry is a big time Los Angeles Kings fan and as such, was at game six last Friday when the Kings took the series from the Blues after dropping the first two games of the series. Also there was abhorrent reporter Dan Moriarty, who is more of a nuisance than a positive addition to the broadcast, on hand to get some “reaction” as to how the game was panning out.
Frank Herrmann is out for the year after undergoing Tommy John surgery, but that hasn’t stopped him from contributing to the red-hot Cleveland Indians. The Tribe has won 10 of their last 11 and are entering a weekend series with their Division rival Detroit Tigers. The Tigers are leading the AL Central by one game over the Indians and have pretty much been a dominant force in recent memory.
Matt Kemp showed that not all hope is lost when it comes to athletes doing the right thing. After a game in San Francisco, where they were swept by the way, he came over to a special fan and did more than just give him an autograph.
Per the YouTube description:
Matt Kemp is sucha great person. He came over after the game and made one of my best friends night he’s fighting a tough battle and this was sucha great gift by Matt Kemp ! I’ll never forget this.
Unless Mike Wallace suffers from the worst possible case of bad timing in the history of possible cases of bad timing, his tweet earlier today looks like he had the most insincere reaction to Washington Wizards Jason Collins announcing he was gay. Even if it was just bad timing, it still doesn’t excuse the tweet.
He needs to realize the influential position he is in and that he is representing an organization and not just himself. More so, the millions of fans he has accrued while en route to Miami. If you listen closely, you can hear a slight thumping sound. You know what that is?
The Jaguars and Dolphins will be donning new uniforms this year and we got a first look at them today. I can’t say for sure which team had the more dramatic change, but I like both of them a lot. We weren’t supposed to get a look at the Dolphins new uniforms until later this week, but just like everything else these days, a couple pictures popped up on Twitter.
In the end, I think I have to lean towards the Dolphins. Mainly because that all white set looks so clean.
What do you guys think?
