Tournament Teams by Seed:
1.Ohio State: The Buckeyes enter the BTT on a roll with recent blowouts of Wisconsin, Penn State, Indiana, and Illinois. The most impressive aspect of the Buckeye’s play of late has been their ability to knock down the three point shot (see John Diebler). I’d like to go on record and state the obvious: if the Buckeyes continue to shoot at this rate, NO ONE will come close to knocking them off in the BTT or maybe even in the Big Dance.
2.Purdue: With recently named Big Ten Player of the Year JaJuan Johnson and fellow 1st teamer E’Twuan Moore, you can never count out the Boilers. Matt Painter has done a great job of navigating this team through adversity and turning them into a legitimate contender for postseason play.
Not good.
That's all that really can be said.
The Ohio State University held a press conference tonight to address the situation that was brought to light by the report by Yahoo! Sports that head coach Jim Tressel knew of the selling of sports memorabilia by some of his players as early as April of 2010 but failed to report the violation to the NCAA. This is a clear NCAA violation on the coach's part. Tressel explained his his regret of the situation and how it was handled during the press conference.
"Obviously I'm disappointed that this happened at all," Tressel said. "I take my responsibility for what we do at Ohio State tremendously seriously and for the game of football. I plan to grow from this. I'm sincerely saddened by the fact that I let some people down and didn't do things as well as I possibly could have."

Ohio State University fans used to be worried about he 2011 season, now they might have to worry about the 2010 season. Reports coming from Yahoo! Sports are saying that an unnamed source is claiming that head coach Jim Tressel knew of his players violations as early as April 2010. In December 2010, the NCAA alerted the university that some of their players were selling memorabilia to a local tatto artist, Edward Rife. Athletic Director Gene Smith and head coach Jim Tressel complied with the NCAA and their investigation and stood behind the NCAA punishment of the players. Terrelle Pryor, Daniel Herron, DeVier Posey, Mike Adams and Solomon Thomas all were suspended for the first 5 games of the 2011 season.

Brandon Davies, forward for the BYU Cougars, was suspended from the team this week after it was discovered that he violated the schools Honor Code. The portion of the Honor Code he violated has become a pretty hot topic in the last 24 hours. Plain and simple, he had sex with his girlfriend which is a violation of the schools Conduct portion of its Honor Code.
I know that you are thinking that is insane, but what you have to realize is that all of these kids, Mormon or not, know what they are getting into when they sign the schools Honor Code. It clearly states what is acceptable and what is not acceptable at BYU and below is an excerpt from the conduct section.

Detroit Tigers firstbasemen Miguel Cabrera was arrested on DUI charges Wednesday in Florida. According to the St. Lucie County Sheriffs Office, Miggy's engine was smoking along the side of the road when the deputy spotted the car. Upon making contact with Cabrera, the officier observed him to have a strong odor of alcohol and slurred speech. It also did not help his cause when he took a nip from the bottle of scotch right in front of the officier. If that wasn't enough, he had but one question for the arresting officier.
