Buster Posey is one of the best catchers in the game. One of the more mundane duties a catcher has to deal with is throwing the ball back to the pitcher. During any given game, they will probably do this between 100-125 times. Over the course of a 162-game season, that is a lot of throws. So many that it’s probably safe to assume that at this point in Posey’s career, it’s basically muscle memory.
