The Bears Dismantled Tony Romo Last Night

See what I did there?

Tony Romo had an ad at the beginning of the season.  It was for Starter and in it, he addressed all of his “haters”.  He talks about how people are focused on the negative things that he and the Cowboys have done in the past and ends the spot by saying “that’s what I’m focused on too”.

Good thing, because those roars are going to be getting louder in Dallas and around Cowboy Nation after last nights debacle.  Even thought he only got sacked once, Romo threw 5 completions to the other team with 2 resulting in touchdowns.

Lance Briggs gobbled up an errant throw as Romo was hit and took it to the house, 74 yards away.  I must say, too, Briggs can MOVE for a thirty something linebacker.  Charles Tillman, who graduated high school around the same time as Briggs, also took a Romo interception for 6.  The young guns Major Wright and D.J. Moore accounted for the other three interceptions.  Wright had two of those, one of which was late in the fourth quarter that sealed the Cowboys fate…if there was any hope left at all.  Also, D.J. Moore’s interception was his 9th in his young career.  That makes 33% of his career INTs against Tony Romo (3 of 9 for you math wizards out there).

The Cowboys looked like sloppy team that hadn’t practiced together. Ever.  They were lazy and appeared uninterested in representing Dallas on the huge stage that is Monday Night Football.  If you bet on the Bears last night you were sitting and laughing because this game was never in question.

Romo finished 31/43 for 307 yards with 1 touchdown (Witten) and 5 interceptions while getting sacked once.

Championship.
