AUDIO: Jason Giambi Becomes the Oldest Player to Hit a Walk-Off Home Run

072913_MLB_Indians_Jason_Giambi_PI_CH_20130729233917127_660_320On Monday night, Jason Giambi rocked Progressive Field and the White Sox closer Ramon Troncoso with a lead off, walk-off, home run in the bottom of the ninth inning.  The home run not only gave the Indians their fifth win in a row, it also crowned Jason Giambi as the oldest player to hit a walk-off home run since Hank Aaron.  He bested Hammerin’ Hank by 45 days to take the title.

The young ball club continues to surprise, and depending on which team you root for, piss off a lot of people.  If they can get through a tumultuous August and keep the momentum going through a much easier September, they may give the Tigers some headaches down the stretch.

For now, just sit back and enjoy the best announcer in baseball, Tom Hamilton, call the walk-off blast by Giambi.
