Kent Read, Kent Write, CAN Make the Pro Bowl…KENT STATE

cribbs1

For the second year in a row, Kent State Alums have been kicking ass and taking names across the NFL.  The small town Ohio MAC school is sending three former players to the 2010 NFL Pro Bowl this January (NBD).  One of these players was actually a basketball player for the Golden Flashes. This just shows the pure dominance and athleticism that comes out of KSU (cough, blatant homerism, cough).
Antonio Gates-San Diego Chargers
gates
This former basketball player has terrorized defenses since entering the league in 2003 as an undrafted free agent.  Gates has scored more touchdowns than any other tight end in the league since ’04.  Not to mention, he owns the single season record for TD’s by a tight end with 13.  With one game left in the 2009 regular season, Gates has racked up 1,145 yards on 78 receptions and 7 touchdowns.
James Harrison-Pittsburgh Steelers
harrison
Despite still being out of breathe from his 100 yard touchdown return in last years Super Bowl, Harrison showed up this season with solid numbers.  Also, even though he has received some scrutiny from his lack of dominance over the last two seasons, James piled up 76 tackles with 10 sacks and 5 forced fumbles.
Josh Cribbs-Cleveland Browns
cribbs
Cribbs has made every kickoff squad his bitch this year.  He has made every coordinator in the league forget the name Devin Hester.  Cribbs set an NFL record for career Touchdown Returns (8) in just his 6th season.  Cribbs currently shares the NFL record for 100-yard returns (2) but will crush in no time.  Cribbs has combined for 1936 return yards and four return touchdowns this season with one game remaining.  That is an average of 130 yards per game.  Cribbs is due for a GIANT contract from the Brownies or you can look for him to hold out and skip town.
