Matt Kemp showed that not all hope is lost when it comes to athletes doing the right thing. After a game in San Francisco, where they were swept by the way, he came over to a special fan and did more than just give him an autograph.

From what I gathered in the comments, the poster is the friend of the recipient and a collection was taken up to get them those great seats. The recepients father had spoken with the third base coach prior and the coach told him he would see if Matt would come over after the game.

They didn’t expect Kemp to do all of that. Signing a ball would have been enough of a thrill, but for the player to give him his hat, jersey and spikes as well? That is something I have never seen before.
