In true Randy Johnson fashion, West Michigan Whitecaps minor league pitcher Jon Maciel hit a bird while delivering his pitch to the plate.
During the bottom of the third inning, he delivered what appears to be an offspeed pitch (83 mph) that struck a bird. When shown during the regular broadcast you can barely see it, but when they slow it down you see that the pitch clips the bird.

A grounds keeper had to come out and picked up the bird to which the broadcasters said “I hope that bird is ok”.
Although the bird didn’t explode into nothing like when Randy Johnson hit one, I’m can say with a pretty high certainty that the bird is dead.
