Nationals OF Michael Taylor Fell Just Short Of A 500-Foot Home Run

The Washington Nationals fell to 60-60 on the season after losing to the Colorado Rockies on Thursday night. While they lost as a team, one member won on an individual level.

Outfielder Michael Taylor rocked a no doubt home run to center field in the seventh inning that, according to the broadcast, landed 493 feet from home plate. This made Taylor’s home run the longest hit this season and the third longest ever hit at Coors Field.

Some may argue that the altitude in Colorado makes it easier to hit home runs. I won’t do that because, to me, 493 feet is 493 feet.
