NFL Rookie of the Year

The NFL has named its offensive and defensive rookies of the year and if you’ve been watching the big kids play on Sundays then there should be no surprise. Brian Cushing, linebacker for the Houston Texans took home the Defensive Rookie of the Year. Cushing racked up 134 total tackles, 87 solo, 2 forced fumbles, 4 interceptions and 5 sacks… FOR A ROOKIE!

I don’t need to explain this to you but those numbers are ridiculous. The Offensive Rookie of the Year was received by Minnesota bad boy Percy Harvin. Percy literally did it all for the Vikings this season, snatching 60 balls for 790 yards and 6 touchdowns. Percy also had over 1,100 return yards and 2 scores before being named to this years Pro Bowl. Needless to say Minnesota needs to feed this guy the ball because he’s more dangerous then Bo Jackson in Tecmo Bowl. Congratulations from Thunder Treats to both Brian and Percy on their outstanding rookie seasons.
