President Obama joined about 200 White House staffers (200?) in the Old Executive Office building to watch the USMNT take on Belgium. He came into the room to a big round of applause and began saying “I believe”.
It was apparent that he was attempting to get the crowd together for a nice rendition of the USMNT chant of “I believe that we will win”. Unfortunately, he went with the Obama version of “I believe that we can win”.
It was a nice try and I give him credit for the effort.
I am assuming that we will all get word today that President Obama has used an executive order to change the USMNT chant to “I believe that we can win”.
Tax dollars working for us, people.
