Hump Day Hottie: Genesis Rodriguez

This week’s Hump Day Hottie is the daughter to a famous Venezuelan singer (El Puma) and a Cuban model, so you can imagine the mix you have going here.  Genesis Rodriguez was born in Miami and turned to acting.  She was best known for her roles on the Telemundo series Prisionera, Dame Chocolate and Dona Barbara.

Her breakthrough role came when she was cast as Will Ferrell’s love interest in his telenovela spoof ,Casa de Mi Padre.  Since then she has been seen in The Last Stand opposite the Governator and in Identity Thief opposite Jason Bateman.

Her next movie coming out, though, may prove to be her most memorable. She will be starring opposite Paul Walker in Hours, due out December 13th. The movie, which producers have recently decided to move forward with the release despite the tragic death of Walker, is set in New Orleans in 2005.  Walker and Rodriguez play a couple who have just had a baby born with an illness during Hurricane Katrina.  Below is the trailer for the movie, which will play in 15 select U.S. cities as well as video on demand.
