The legendary host of The Price is Right, Bob Barker, is turning 90 years old this week! The man that kept us company on so many days when were home “sick” from school was interviewed by guys from TMZ and it appears that he is doing really well.
So well, in fact, that he still thinks he can take Adam Sandler just like he did years ago during their fist fight in Happy Gilmore.
Thunder Treats Podcast Episode 046: The Ohio State Buckeyes (and the Rest of College Football) vs. The SEC
Welcome to episode 046 of the Thunder Treats Podcast! On this week’s episode, we welcome in Dante DeLisio as we talk about ESPN and how they continue, comically, to suck at the teet that is the Southeastern Conference. Some of the statements made by the big heads at the World Wide Leader have left many of the Ohio State fans, and college football fans in general, scratching their collective heads in astonishment.
Full disclosure, we are all Ohio State fans, but this is an issue that extends past the mothership’s hatred for the Big 10 conference. The fact that this talking heads will have some of the biggest pool in the college football playoff is enough to scare anyone that is a fan of a team outside of the SEC.
Harrison Okene, the Nigerian ship cook on a Chevron tugboat, survived when the vessel his was on capsized in heavy swells about 20 miles off the coast of Nigeria. A diving crew had been assembled to go retrieve what they thought would be the 12 bodies of the crew who lost their life in the accident. What they found was equal parts astonishing and a miracle.

Welcome to episode 045 of the Thunder Treats Podcast! We are still rolling strong! Last week we thanked you for listening after our numbers soared to 3,000 listeners for episode 043. Well, we thought that was a fluke. Who wouldn’t, right? As it turns out, it was only the beginning as numbers for episode 044 soared over 5,000. I can only hope that the numbers keep increasing and we eventually get approached to do our own XM Satellite show daily in our pajamas.
The American Dream.
A lot of time, biker gangs get a bag rap and most for good reason. For instance, a few months ago people were outraged when a biker gang chased down a man and his family through the streets of New York City, pulled him from the car and savagely beat him in front of his wife and child. A story like that will probably turn most people sour on the idea of a biker gang. Good thing that there are still people in this world that are can restore our faith.
Last Sunday, the brain trust behind the Family Guy series decided to kill off one of the members of the cast. Ask anyone, and they would have thought Meg would be the first one to go. Instead, the creatives decided it was time for Brian to say his final goodbye and a fatal run in with a car. Many were shocked that a character that was so consistently funny would be the first one to get the boot but may Seth MacFarlane just got tired of doing Brian’s voice. Although, that scenario seems highly unlikely since it’s his actual voice.
