Saturday Night Live Aired Trailer for ‘The Fault In Our Stars 2: The Ebola In Our Everything’

snl ebola

Saturday Night Live has paved it’s way through the last 40 years by poking fun at the biggest headlines and biggest news in pop culture. You can’t argue that with that logic, the Ebola outbreak was bound to get some air time. However, was it in good taste?

A lot of people are up in arms with the fact that just yesterday Jacksonville Jaguars mascot Jaxson De Ville held up a sign at their game against the Pittsburgh Steelers that read “towels carry ebola”. It was a reference to the popular Terrible Towel that many Steelers fans wave throughout the game.

Look at This Instagram (Nickelback Parody)

It is common knowledge that most of the America hates Nickelback.  I hate Nickelback just as much as I hate mustard.  If I had it my way, both would only be offered up in Canada.  I can’t pinpoint one thing exactly that I hate so much, but if I had to pick something it would be their faces, their overall body of work and their general contribution, or lack thereof, to the music industry.  I bet Lars Ulrich wouldn’t mind if people illegally downloaded their music.  That may be why I like this parody so much.  In this parody they go through the stupid things that people post to their Instagram (Hipstagram) accounts.  It’s a successful parody because it has the “funny because it’s true” feel.  Check it out below.

Saturday Night Live Gives Their Take on Brad Pitt’s New Chanel No. 5 Commercial

The Chanel No. 5 commercial featuring Brad Pitt in black and white is odd, to say the least.  The commentary he spews does nothing for the Chanel brand and, at times, begs one to wonder if Brad Pitt is actually comprehending what he is saying.  I find it hard to believe he knows what he is saying because he is saying it with a straight face.  Also he doesn’t have a “wtf?” look on his face like everyone else who watches it and we know he isn’t a good actor.  Therefore, I can only conclude that Brad was temporarily blinded by the fact that Chanel paid him $7 million to do this commercial.

Barack Obama Has 99 Problems but a Mitt Ain't One

This is not a forum for political arguments.  I would think that would go without saying, but just in case, I thought I would remind you all.

I am not telling anyone who I am voting for and I will not tell anyone who they should vote for.  It is a great right to be able to vote, so as long as you drag your ass to the polls November 6th, I don't care what you think.

Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon is Now Searchable on Google

A lot of times while you are sitting around with your friends, you begin some sort of trivia.  One of the best games to play, that never seems to get old, is the Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon.  For those of you who do not know how the game works, you are given an actors name and you then have to link that actor to Kevin Bacon using 6 or less co-stars.  For example, if someone said Christian Bale and you went to Google for the answer, this is what you would see.

Got it?  Good.

Google has just done to the Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon what Shazam has dones to the Name That Tune trivia.  Made it incredibly easy to cheat.  Using an algorithm, if you go to Google and type in any actors name followed by “Bacon Number”, the site gives you they’re ties to Kevin Bacon immediately.  It’s pretty fun trying to get a high number, I was only able to get a connection of 2 when I tried different people.

Go ahead and give it a shot!

Funny or Die has a new pharmaceutical ad for "legitimate rape"

A few weeks ago, Republican Representative Todd Akin of Missouri came under fire after his comments regarding rape and abortion went viral.  Akin was asked whether or not abortion should be allowed in cases of rape.

“It seems to be, first of all, from what I understand from doctors, it’s really rare. If it’s a legitimate rape, the female body has ways to try to shut the whole thing down.

As you can see, Mr. Akin is an idiot. I’m not going to elaborate anymore on that subject, I just wanted to give you a background on the video below.
