It’s hard to believe it has been 10 years since the 9/11 attacks. I remember it like it was yesterday. In fact, this weekned I found the newspapers I had saved from the week of the attacks. They are in shrink wrap so I was only able to look over the headlines and some pictures. The headline “Reign of Terror” really stuck with me.
Well now, almost 10 years later, we have new video of the events of that day in New York City. A NYPD helicopter captured the footage and it was requested by the National Institute of Standards and Technology, one of the institutes responsible for the investigation of 9/11. They requested it through the Freedom of Information act and the video was then sent, anonymously, to the secret-sharing website Cryptom. From there it was posted online.
Fair warning, the video below is difficult to watch at times and there is cursing by the people in the helicopter.
