‘Draft Day’ Official Trailer is Released, Hits Theaters Right Before 2014 NFL Draft

Cleveland Browns fans have something to look forward to during the first part of 2014 and clearly, it’s not the Super Bowl. Draft Day, a fictional movie that chronicals the decisions leading up to the Cleveland Browns first overall draft choice, will hit theaters on April 11, 2014.  The film stars Kevin Costner in the lead role as the teams General Manager who is looking to turn the NFL on its collective heads during the draft and Jennifer Garner opposite Costner.

Below is the first look at the movie a lot of people are waiting for. It doesn’t really matter if you are a Cleveland fan or not, this is going to be a rare movie where the NFL gives consent to use the teams and game footage, so it will feel authentic. One can guess that they picked Cleveland because of the tax breaks the filmmakers got, not necessarily the winning tradition the city is known for. Wink.

I’m not going to sit here and tell you this is going to be the next Hoosiers, but I will definitely be checking it out.  Right now, it is listed as a Drama, but if it is anything like draft days in Cleveland since 1999, it might be better suited under the Horror section. Only time will tell.
