Morten Andersen was known as The Great Dane. He is the all-time leader in terms of scores, with 2 544 points, and he spent the years between 1982 and 2007 playing for the NFL.

Gary Anderson was the first South African to ever appear in a regular season game for the NFL, and he was active between 1982 and 2004. His total points number 2 434.

Adam Vinatieri plays for the NFL’s Indianapolis Colts. He has played 5 Super Bowls and after starting his NFL career in 1996 he has made 2 378 points to date.

Jason Hanson was an active football placekicker for the Detroit Lions from 1992 through to 2012. He managed to rack up 2 062 points over the course of his 20-year career.

John Carney was an American football placekicker who got signed by the Cincinnati Bengals in 1987. He was active between the years of 1988 and 2010, and, during that period, scored a total of 2 062 points.

Nicknamed Nick the Kick, Lowery was active between 1978 and 1996. He managed to accrue a total of 1 711 points over that period.

  1. Jan Stenerud

Stenerud is the first pure placekicker to get inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame, and is also the first Norwegian to play for the NFL. His career began in 1967, ended in 1985, and he scored 1 699 points by the end of it.

Dawson plays for the Arizona Cardinals, and has been a member for the NFL since 1999. He has scored 1 698 points.
