Is this a thing people know? I searched and couldn’t find anything written about it. But while checking out the construction cam at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium in Canton, Ohio, I noticed something weird about the field.
It seems as though it’s the one that Ole Miss and Oklahoma State played on for the 2016 Sugar Bowl in the Superdome in New Orleans. Or at least it appears to be, right?
Here’s a aerial shot from the game…
You can even see the outline of the Sugar Bowl logo at midfield…
So did the NFL ever disclose the fact that they were going to re-use turf from the Superdome?
UPDATE: Apparently they are going to use this field for the Hall of Fame game and then rip it out afterward. I guess it’s smart, eh?
