Remember That Time The Griffey’s Had Father And Son Back-To-Back Home Runs?

It was an autumn day, back in 1990, and an electric, young outfielder named Ken Griffey Jr. was playing alongside his papa, Ken Griffey Sr. The former having the sweetest swing known to man, the latter being the one who taught him. Both playing for the Seattle Mariners, they traveled to California to play the Angels and became the only father and son tandem in MLB history to hit back-to-back home runs.

They did so with their first at-bats in the game because if you’re going to do something you might as well do it big.

Odds are we’ll probably never see this again in our lifetimes. However, if we do, I’d like to call right now that it will either be Bryce Harper or Mike Trout and their future sons.

You heard it hear first.
