According to numerous reports online, Stanford quarterback Andrew Luck will return to his school for another year. It has been reported by Joe Schad from ESPN as well as many others via Twitter. With the news of Luck returning, you would have to think that Jim Harbaugh is very close behind him. This will definitely keep Stanford in the top 5 for next year. If Michigan fans were doubtful before about snatching Harbaugh from Stanford, they have to have virtually no hope now.
“I am committed to earning my degree in architectural design from Stanford University and am on track to accomplish this at the completion of the spring quarter of 2012”, Luck said in a statement.
It was reported earlier in the day that Harbaugh was taking meetings with the 49ers and the Dolphins in San Francisco. Those meetings now might be all for naught.
