When You Successfully Pass The Ball Off The Face Of A Defender, It’s Probably Your Night

The Cleveland Cavaliers destroyed franchise, NBA regular season and NBA playoff records last night at Quicken Loans Arena after throwing up 25 treys.

25 of 45, to be exact.

The regular season record for 3-pointers in a game was 23 while the playoff record was 21 and after the Cavaliers hit the locker room at the half with 18 of them in their pocket, you knew something special was going to happen.

But things would slow down in the second half a bit. With all the starters sitting, it didn’t make the record a certainty. That is, until Mo Williams tried to pass the ball to Richard Jefferson, only to have it hit Mike Muscala directly in the dome piece.

Is there any other sure fire way to know that last night was the Cavaliers night?

Below is the record breaking 24th 3-pointer from Dainty Jones with 2:24 left in the game.

You have no idea how many missed 3 pointers I had to video to get that.
