Who Will Top The Premier League 2018-19 Standings?

Coming off the heels of The World Cup, those going through withdrawal because of lack of soccer in their lives will be able to breathe a sigh of relief soon. Come August 10, the English Premier League season opens with Manchester United vs Leicester City and the excitement will only build from there.

Manchester City

After a season in which City broke almost every record imaginable en route to a staggering 32-4-2 record, ManCity is looking to stay atop the EPL in the 2018-19 season. During their ride to 32 wins, they also broke the record for most points in a season with 100. With most of the fire power back for the 2018-19 season, The Cityzens are a favorite to be the first repeat winner of the Premier League in 10 years.

Manchester United

It would only seem fitting that the team to block Manchester City’s attempt to repeat as Premier League Champions would be the last team to win back to back titles. Technically speaking, it’s back-to-back-to-back titles. At 7/1 odds to win the title, no one should sleep on the Red Devils. They know a little something about winning titles.

Liverpool

According to some soccer betting sites, Liverpool’s odds are slightly better than Manchester United’s at 4/1. However it still feels like The Reds will be on the outside looking in again during the 2018-19 season. While they will definitely finish in the top six, reigning supreme over everyone just doesn’t feel like it’s in the cards this season.

Last year’s pure dominance from Manchester City may be something we never get to see again. In the 2018-19 season, it would be almost impossible to top. Though the Cityzen’ did add Riyad Mahrez to their loaded line up, so maybe it is possible after all?

Everyone – with the exception of Cityzen fans – is hoping for a much closer race this year as last year’s winner was pretty much nailed down by New Years.

Keep an eye out for the following opening weekend matchups that will surely be an entertaining and exciting way to kick off the new season!
