The new Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue will hit stands on February 9th and will feature Hannah Davis as the cover girl for the first time in her modeling career.
Also, for the “first time”, SI will have a “plus-size” model inside the issue.
Robyn Lawley is the 25-year-old Aussie who will be rocking the shit out of the bikini below with all the other hotties next week. However, she is also the one being singled out as Sports Illustrated’s first “plus-size” model.

Bravo to SI for breaking the mold of rail thin models who look like they should be getting $0.10 a day to stay nourished. Shame on them, though, for considering Lawley even remotely near the term “plus-size.”
In fact, if they consider Lawley a “plus-size” model, then they cannot consider her the first in the Swimsuit Issue because they have already had a “plus-size” model on their cover twice in a row.
I’m not being a Kate Upton hater, either. I love Kate Upton, but by the standards laid out by Sports Illustrated, wouldn’t she be considered “plus-size?”
Rhetorical. Yes, she would.
Regardless, I’m glad they included Lawley because she a smoke show.
Oh, and for those wondering…Robyn Lawley is a size 8…and so is Kate.
