Low On Motivation? Here’s What To Do

If you’re low on motivation to get to the gym and work out, there are a few things you can do to boost your focus and feel back to yourself again. Simplify Your Fitness Goals 

Start by simplifying your fitness goals. If your goals are quite complicated at the moment, you might be making it much harder for yourself. Focus on one goal at a time and make sure you’re at least 9 out of 10 in confidence that you’ll complete it. When you have a few of these easier goals under your belt, you can begin to make them slightly more difficult. 

Forget Guilt – You Don’t Have To Be Perfect

If you have a few days off the gym because life gets in the way, don’t beat yourself up. There’s no such thing as perfection, and there’s absolutely no need to feel guilty for having other things going on in your life. Fitness should be part of your lifestyle, not the thing that your life revolves around. Remember that next time you feel like beating yourself up!

Maybe you’re simply bored of your routine and you need to try something new. You could try a new workout plan, or even go to a few classes to mix things up and get a change of scenery. Why not see if you can rope a friend into going with you? Ideally, this person will be just as committed as you are, so you can both push each other. You don’t want someone who will let you down last minute, or let you skip out on a work out without a good reason. Choose a  reliable friend and see if you can keep each other accountable. 

Work Out Early In The Morning 

If you can get to the gym early in the morning, you’ll feel better for the rest of the day. Then, no matter what the day throws at you, you won’t have to worry about making it to the gym. You won’t have to make excuses, or feel so rubbish after a bad day that you just want to curl up on the couch, Your workout will be done, and you’ll feel so much better for it.
