The Lonely Island has a way of making fun of pop culture while acting completely serious and they don’t disappoint with their newest song, YOLO. Perhaps one of the most annoying sayings of 2012, the acronym for “You Only Live Once” is taken in a completely different direction that Drake and Lil Wayne had intended when it first debuted in The Motto.
Instead, the boys of The Lonely Island interpret YOLO as trying to stay safe from harm because, well, you only live once. You can get a good idea of what I am talking about by listening to the hook from Adam Levine.
