Bubba Watson Nails Approach, Looks For Wannabe Caddie That Tried To Tell Him What Club To Use

You have to have a rather large set of testicles to try and tell any professional athlete what they should do in their respective sport. You wouldn’t tell Bryce Harper what ounce bat to use, you wouldn’t tell Odell Beckham Jr. what receiving gloves to use. So why on Earth would someone tell Bubba Watson what club to use for a shot?

No one knows, but what we do know is Bubba knows best.

On the second hole of the Travelers Championship on Sunday at TPC River Highlands, Watson missed the par 4 fairway and it left him with a second shot that had a tree directly in his path. A fan suggested that Watson use a 4-iron and run the ball under the tree and up to the green.

Watson wisely ignored his advice and instead used his wedge to clear the tree and stick the ball within in 4 feet of the pin. Naturally, when Watson turned around to find the wannabe caddie, he couldn’t find him. Obviously it would have been a fantastic opportunity to get some grade-A trash talk in.

I can’t be certain, but it sounds like Watson is looking for the fan and asks if he should use his 4-iron to putt.

Bubba went on to win the 2015 Travelers Championship after a two hole playoff against Paul Casey.
