Devin Gardner Receives Letter From Ohio State After Consoling J.T. Barrett

Dave Claborn, Director of Development & Community Relations at The Ohio State University at Marion campus, was moved so much by the act of sportsmanship portrayed by Michigan’s Devin Gardner, he wrote him a letter.

On the day the of The Game.

Or so the date says, but whatever.

He thanked Gardner for showing compassion when OSU quarterback J.T. Barrett went down with a season-ending ankle injury. He referred to the Michigan quarterback as an “extraordinary young man” and said he is sure that Barrett got his poise and maturity from watching guys like him.

However you feel about OSU or Michigan, this is pretty cool. Sure, it didn’t come from the main campus or Athletic Director Gene Smith, but it’s still pretty cool.

I am willing to bet that Gardner will care for this letter from Ohio State a little more than he did the last time he received a parcel from them.
