This week’s Hump Day Hottie is Indian author/actress/model Padma Lakshmi or பத்மா பார்வதி லக்ஷ்மி in her native Tamil language. Impressed? Don’t be, I obviously copy and pasted that. Padma is the host of the show Top Chef and has been since its second season. In 2009 she even earned an Emmy Award nomination for her work on the show. Lakshmi has a distinctive scar on her right arm that is about 7 inches long. She received this during a car accident in 1984 when she broke her hip and shattered her right upper arm. She was 14 at the time of the accident and those of you who are quick with your math skills know that puts her right around 40 years old (39 right now)…Which is the cut off for a certain tournament here at Thunder Treats. I’ll give you a hint, it rhymes with Shougar Shmadness. I think it is safe to say that Padma will be entering the tourney in her first year of eligibility.
