Everyday Routine Equipment You Shouldn’t Feel Bad Spending A bit More Money On

By  |

Now while some purchases may be considered smarter and more cost-effective than others, not all of them are considered very fun. By nature we have this unruly element about us as humans which makes us want to do somewhat silly things at times, or splash out some cash on relatively needless things. You could always buy a belt for about as much as a packet of sweets, but wouldn’t a belt which costs somewhere in the three-figure range be much more appealing? Would it do a much better job than the considerably cheaper belt? No, not necessarily, it would probably be just about the same, but do we want it more? Yes, most probably. Sometimes there is no viable, logical explanation behind some of our thought processes without getting deeply involved with some digging into human psychology, so let’s just take it for what it is for now. Without spending any more time delving into a subject that is way too deep for this particular post, let’s look at some things which you could spend a tad more money on, but which you will use just about every day during your daily routine.

A better shaving razor

Yes, shaving is a pain. Yes, most people have to do it in order to prevent looking homeless. No, nobody has invented one which is guaranteed to not cut you when you use it. No, the ones which are better than the multi pack ones for a dollar are not going to break the bank, and yes, they really are worth it. Of course, just about every single brand will tell you that their particular razor is the greatest and will provide you with the closest shave possible. If you have trouble picking, and you want an actual opinion that is not entirely based off trying to line the pockets of whoever is writing it, then check out this Muhle R41 Review [2018 Update] – Is the Beast Tamed? to get yourself started on this self-grooming journey.

A better toothbrush

Brushing teeth is a pretty basic routine activity when you look at it, it’s like brushing just about anything else, except this time your brush is much smaller and it’s inside your mouth. As bizarre as the concept may seem when you look at it out of context, it is (hopefully) part of everyone’s daily routine, and since we’re all brushing our teeth every day anyway, why not become a bit more efficient at it? While a better technique would certainly help, a better toothbrush, or an electric toothbrush altogether is sure to help. Once again, a slightly better toothbrush does indeed cost more than the cheapest one you can buy, but don’t worry, it’s not going to cut into your life savings.

A better shampoo

The kind of shampoo you use usually has a rather staggering effect on the state of your hair, especially if you wash your hair on a daily basis. Different shampoos do indeed work in different ways, it’s not just a marketing ploy to sell the same product with a different aroma, and some shampoos are indeed better for a specific kind of hair than others. Perhaps your hair will do better with one rather than the other, and you won’t even know that if you don’t try it out for yourself. This isn’t as much of a case of spending more money on a luxury shampoo, but spending more money on different kinds of shampoo and testing out which one works for you best. This may seem like a rather obvious advice, but many people forget about it entirely and just buy whatever is currently on sale to save a quick buck, which is understandable, but not the smartest thing to do.
