Ohio State plays Michigan this weekend in what is known to many as simply “The Game” and since it is a huge rivalry and huge game, they might as well wear some cool uni’s, right? Personally, I like the traditional uniforms the Buckeyes wear weekly, but these new uniforms from Nike aren’t as bad as some in the past. I like the oversized stripe down the helmet and the jerseys are nice too. Per the Nike website, the new uniforms will include:
- Strategically placed seams, pads and cooling zones that help minimize distraction and optimize protective coverage. Padding without the bulk, offers optimal low-profile impact protection, specifically throughout the crucial “hit zone” between the knees and shoulders.
- Lightweight Nike Pro Combat Deflex padding integrated in the hip area of the pant for crucial impact protection that stays in place.
- A Flywire collar in the jersey, eliminating two layers of fabric for improved breathability and providing a more stable anchor to keep the jersey in place for enhanced lockdown functionality.

When it really comes down to it though, I don’t care what they wear as long as they take Michigan to the woodshed.
